  • Notes (3)

    • Rhea Pearlman was the first cast member from Cheers to host SNL.

    • NBC never repeated this episode in the regular 11:30 EST time slot, though it popped up in its entirety on Classic SNL in November 2004.

    • "What Would Frank Do?" was born from the writers' coming up with other sketch idea regarding Frank Sinatra and Joe Piscopo rebuking, "Frank wouldn't do that," sometimes using Frank's voice.

    Trivia (1)

    • In the middle of her commentary as Dr. Ruth, Mary Gross realizes that her microphone is clipped too low on her blouse. After Brad Hall helps her adjust it, she ad-libs that it's as tiny as she is, and in response to a silent audience, that it happened in the middle of a great joke.
