  • Notes (4)

    • Al Franken and Sarah Silverman are featured in this episode uncredited.

    • In its original airing, the scene between Picard and Guinan contained a technical goof after Picard orders her beamed out. When she disappears, Picard shifts his position and his shoulder disappears because Patrick Stewart stepped into the area blocked out by a split screen. On subsequent showings, this goof was corrected by a shot from the dress rehearsal.

    • Bernie Kopell, who plays Doc in the "Love Boat Next Generation" sketch, is probably best known for playing the ship's doctor on the original "Love Boat."

    • Chris Farley flubbed a line during the Love Boat sketch, and he can be seen in the background banging his fists on a table. He may look as if he's damnening himself, but technically he's very visibly pounding a control panel, as his character was just ordered to transfer power using that panel.

    Allusions (1)

    • The Joycelyn Elders sketch (Show & Tell: Just Say No to Anal Intercourse) with Patrick Stewart discussing incredibly graphic sexual practices to a kindergarten during "show and tell" is based on actual comments by Clinton's surgeon general Elders, who once, when talking about the importance of birth control education, suggested that children should be taught how to masturbate.
