  • One of the absolute low points of this season.

    • The "Lean Acres" sketch is cut off when an audience member verbally complains about the stereotyping of plus-size women in the sketch. After a longer-than-usual commercial break, she is asked to leave the studio. This incident is removed in all repeats. It was revealed several years later that the "audience member" was portrayed by then-SNL writer Pam Norris.

    • Future Year 11 cast member (and Year 6 writer) Terry Sweeney has a small role in the cold opening.

    • Comedian/puppeteer Marc Weiner appears on "Weekend Update" as puppet boxer Rocko Weineretto. When Charles Rocket complained to Doumanian about Weiner's appearance, Joe Piscopo said Rocket was jealous that the puppets got more laughs than he did.

    • Eddie Murphy becomes a regular cast member in this episode.
