    • The segment where Steve Martin shows off his "good and bad sides" was originally supposed to be part of his monologue.

    • Steve Martin gives a touching tribute to Gilda Radner during the monologue. Radner died of ovarian cancer on the afternoon before this broadcast. The clip of Steve Martin and Gilda Radner shuffling to "Dancing in the Dark" was originally shown in Episode 64, with Martin as host and The Blues Brothers as musical guests.
