    • Zack: Every time I call her she's washing her hair! Who washes their hair six times a day? Slater: You do!

    • Mr. Belding: Now Zack, I know that you and Lisa are in charge of decorations, but this year's theme is not going to be (holds up a banner) Zack and Kelly's Prom!

    • Screech: Will you go to the prom with me? Lisa: Yeah, I'll go. Screech: YOU WILL?! Lisa: I'll go with you when worms have ears!

    • Zack: I even got two pieces of cake I wrestled away from Allen, sorry there's no icing.

    • Jessie: I think it's reverse macho pigism and I don't like it.

    Notes (1)

    • This is the first time we see Kelly's father on the show, he comes back years later in Saved by the Bell: The College Years when Zack and Kelly get married.

    Trivia (4)

    • In this episode Kelly says to her father that there are 7 other people living in her house, besides her. Meaning 5 brothers and sisters, and her mother and father. But in "Cream for a Day" she stated she is one of seven children in the Kapowski family.

    • Despite the couplings of Zack/Kelly and Slater/Jessie, there are several episodes to follow, that imply these couples are not together. In fact, it will not be until mid season that these relationships are clearly established and continue week to week.

    • This episode focuses on the prom. However, they are only high school sophmores. They should not be attending a prom of their own for at least another year and even that would be called a Junior Prom. So wouldn't that make this really just a 10th grade formal?

    • This episode marks Jessie and Slater's first "date".
