    • The Todd: Goodbye Five! From the big dawg! ( final high five)

    • (J.D. just said goodbye and left the ICU) Sunny: Oh, he's finally gone. Talk about making a big deal over nothing, you know? (Dr. Cox looks at her) I mean, Dr. Dorian was fine, but he was no better than any other doctor. Dr. Cox: For the record, he was the best that ever came through this dump. John Dorian was the first and only doctor I ever met who cared as much as I do. And you can forget about him being a just and exceptional physician, because the fact of the matter is, he's a damn exceptional person. It's why people gravitated to him. It's why I did. (Sunny smiles at J.D., who has been standing behind Dr. Cox since he started speaking) He was my friend. J.D.: Thank you, God. That - was - beautiful. Dr. Cox: Oh, God, no. (Turns to face J.D.) J.D.: It's okay, Perry, you just said how you feel! Honestly, I am so full of your love right now, I literally could not take another drop. Brace yourself, I'm coming in. (J.D. hugs Dr. Cox) J.D.: You smell like a father figure. Dr. Cox: Oh! Please stop. J.D.: Mmmmmm...

    • Original International Air Dates: Australia: June 8, 2009 on Channel 7 Latin America: August 6, 2009 on Sony Entertainment Television (a.k.a. Canal Sony) Sweden: December 9, 2009 on TV6

    • Although credited, Ken Jenkins (Dr. Robert "Bob" Kelso) does not appear in this episode's storyline (Part 2). He does, however, have a brief appearance in the gag reel at the end of the show.

    Trivia (4)

    • The attentive observer can find a few faults in continuity in these last two episodes of season eight: most noticeable is the constant change of J.D.'s sneakers. They are of blue color, only to be replaced by white yellowish ones in the next scene and then they are blue again - even when it is obvious that this is supposed to be a continuing scene without any intermission or need for changing shoes.

    • When J.D. leaves Sacred Heart for the last time, we hear a starter motor on his Blue Toyota Prius. The Prius engine doesn't have a conventional starter, making the engine starting sound effect impossible.

    • The janitor at the end of the episode who takes down the "Goodbye J.D" sign is the show creator Bill Lawrence.

    • Featured Music: "The Book Of Love" by Peter Gabriel (Slide show) "Superman" (instrumental) by Lazlo Bane (Closing scene) "Superman" by The Blanks (Gag reel, closing credits)
