  • Christa Miller-Lawrence who appears in this episode as Elaine's artist friend Paula, appeared as Ellen de Granmont (the woman whose material George feels) in last season's "The Sniffing Accountant". She can currently be seen as regular character Ellie Torres in Courtney Cox's new series Cougar Town.

  • From this episode on; Uncle Leo is a very minor character.

  • When Elaine goes in Jerry's apartment for the second time, you can see a bright light in the door crack. When she gets in, there is no lights on.

  • When George wears the velvet outfit, Jerry refers to him as the "Velvet Fog". This is a nickname for Mel Torme, who incidentally, was featured in the previous episode ("The Jimmy").

  • Paula: You can drape yourself in velvet for all I care. This alludes to George's dream, as mentioned in several episodes throughout the series; that were it socially acceptable he would drape himself in velvet.
