Quotes (21)

  • Jerry: Hey Silvio. Just out for a little stroll in my favorite fur coat. Silvio: That is your coat? Jerry: It sure is. Silvio: Kramer says you need it because you're an entertainer and you're desperate for attention. Jerry: That's true. Kramer: Hey Silvio, look at Jerry here, prancing around in his coat with his purse. Yup, he's a dandy. He's a real fancy boy!

  • Jerry: I can't believe we're going dancing. Keri: You don't go that often? Jerry: No, because it's so stupid.

  • Elaine: So now Joe Mayo wants me to buy him a new coat. Jerry: Because you threw it out. Elaine: No, because I was in charge of the coats. It's insane! Jerry: But you did actually throw his coat out the window? Elaine: But he doesn't know that. As far as he knows someone stole it, and that's the person who should be held responsible. Jerry: But that's you. Elaine: So I guess I'll have to buy him a new coat, even though I don't think I should be held responsible, which I am anyway.

  • Silvio: Why are we in Jerry's apartment? Kramer: Well, I like to think of this as my conference room. It has a more formal atmosphere, you know, with the shelves... and the furniture.

  • Jerry: So Puddy wears a man-fur? Elaine: He was struttin' around the coffee shop like Stein Erickson.

  • (When asked to return the Puddy┬┤s coat) Newman: Climbers, keepers.

  • Kramer: Newman and I are reversing the peepholes on our door. So you can see in. Elaine: Why? Newman: To prevent an ambush. Kramer: Yeah, so now I can peek to see if anyone is waiting to jack me with a sock full of pennies.

  • (On the phone with George, Jerry can hear the massage chair in the background) Jerry: What is that noise? George: That's my toaster. I gotta go. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh! (Jerry hangs up the phone) Jerry: You know, sometimes I get the feeling George isn't being completely honest with me.

Notes (2)

  • This is one of the few episodes in which we see significant quantities of snow on the streets (normally since the series was shot in California, the illusion of winter was indicated simply by having steam rise from the sewers). However, January of 1998 saw a significant snowfall in New York, and perhaps that was the reason for the added effects.

  • Joe Mayo is the name of one of the crew members, which makes it even funnier when Kramer says "it sounds made up".

Trivia (4)

  • During the original broadcast of this episode, one of the commercials featured Jason Alexander advertising the, then new, Intel Pentium II processor.

  • In this episode, whenever we're shown the inside of Kramer's apartment via the peephole looking in, there's what appears to be a living room immediately in front of the door. However, when Kramer opens the door a wall is in its place, contradicting what the peephole reveals.

  • Throughout the episode there are a few times where George mentions he keeps all the receipts he gets, and that's why his wallet is so fat. But when he, Jerry and Elaine are sitting in the coffee shop, and the waitress brings him his change and a receipt, he clearly and deliberately empties the change into his wallet, but leaves the receipt on the change-dish. oops...

  • In the original broadcast, Jerry asks George why he has Irish money in his wallet. Yet in the repeat Jerry wonders why he has a free coupon from an Exxon.

Allusions (3)

  • Jerry: So Puddy wears a man fur? Elaine: He was struttin' around the coffee shop like Stein Erickson. Stein Erickson is a former alpine ski racer who won a gold medal at the 1952 Olympics in the Giant Slalom. There is a ski lodge called Stein Erickson Lodge in Deer Valley, Utah that was named in his honor.

  • Jerry mentions that at Joe Mayo's previous party, he both "turned that mother out" and got "jiggy with it", references to Grand Parliament Funkadelic's Tear The Roof Off The Sucker (Give Up The Funk) and Will Smith's Gettin' Jiggy Wit It, respectively.

  • Seeing Puddy in his "man fur", Elaine calls him "Dr. Zaius", referring to the simian scientist from the Planet of the Apes movies.
