  • Episode Description
  • Opening scene: Cookie Monster plays a cookie-rific multi-round game of "One of These Things is Not Like The Other" with Big Bird. Monster time: Monster Clubhouse, shorter than on Show #3974 and actually funny. Love that penguin impersonating an elephant! Number of the day (by the Count): 3, with help from the 3 Bears On the Street: Elmo is pleased to take Maria to lunch, just like a grownup, but plans go awry when a grease fire starts at Hooper's Store. Although the fire is put out quickly and with little damage, Elmo is terrified. A fireman notices this and offers to show Elmo the fire station. After a fun tour of the firehouse, Elmo stops being scared and expresses his admiration for the firefighters, even wearing the FDNY cap at the end. My only complaint is that the firemen aren't sexy and smouldering enough, and hey, where are the female firefighters? Other moments of interest: The segment where kids talk about firefighters is fascinating (and cute). Segments with guest stars: Jill Scott sings "We Are All Earthlings" with Muppet safari animals. Retro characters: A Yip-Yip Martian appears during "Journey to Ernie." Letter of the day (by Cookie Monster): L Spanish word of the day (by Rosita): sí/no Elmo's World: fishesmoreless
