  • show Description
  • Based on the popular American show of the same name, So You Think You Can Dance Australia was a reality dance contest that brought professionals and amateurs together, performing a variety of dance genres from ballroom to hip hop, as they competed against each other for a prize of $200,000. Host Natalie Bassingthwaighte (Rogue Traders, Neighbours) with judges Bonnie Lythgoe (producer of the original American version), Jason Coleman (choreographer) and Matt Lee (reknowned Australian dancer), the show ran for three seasons before being cancelling in favour of a new-style dance program slated for 2011.moreless

    • Jason:(after an outstanding auditionee)When I see dance that I love, it affects me in a physical way. I could cry watching that.

    • Jason: (Commenting on the importance of song choice to a hopeful contestant) Kelly, Kelly, Kelly. Song choice. You've really done yourself an injustice here, by doing that. I'm going to say no based on the fact that you made a really ridiculous choice here today. Let's hope the other two here see past that because I think there's a good dancer hidden beneath that really bad choice.

    • Jason: (Regarding 15 year old dancer Caleb, who was ineligible to audition) I've got shivers. I could cry. That was amazing. You're an amazing young dancer.

    • Bonnie: (Regarding 15 year old dancer Caleb, who was ineligible to audition) My wish is that you could've been in the show this time. But my other wish is that you will be sometime. And boy, you're going to be absolutely brilliant.
