  • show Description
  • Sound is a music programme on BBC Two, in it's Saturday strand aimed for teenagers entitled Switch. The show is presented by BBC Radio 1 DJ, Annie Mac and E4 Music host, Nick Grimshaw. Nick also hosts a interactive radio version of the show from 7pm-10pm on Sundays on BBC Radio 1. The show'S first series began on October 20th 2007 at 5pm, however from early 2008 the show was moved to the earlier 12pm slot straight after CBBC on BBC Two, for some weeks through April and May it moved from 12pm to 1pm then to 1.50pm, and after the entire slot was relaunched and rescheduled on May 17th it made it's move to around the 1.15pm slot, in the middle of the slot's programming. The show finished it's 33 week run on June 21st. The show returned for it's second series with a new look on 13th September at 12pm. The show's first series featured live performances and backstage exclusives from some of the biggest artists, groups, and upcoming performers, each week the episode would come from a different location and would feature a interview with the opening act, with constant performances, the opening theme for the series was an acapella version of Hadouken's! song 'Leap of Faith'. Jo Whiley featured heavily in the first series, sometimes only as a voiceover introducing a track from the 'Live Lounge' section of her Radio 1 show. The show's second series completely changed the format, the on screen graphics changed and the show moved to a permanent location called 'The Loft', Jo Whiley and Hadouken! no longer feature in the shows setup and only one musical guest actually makes a performance in front of the hosts. More features are included within the show and non-musical guests are interviewed as well.moreless
