  • Episode Description
  • While the kids are playing dodgeball in Chef's gym class, Kyle gets a severe nosebleed. He is taken to the nurse's office, which is widely regarded as a horrific place by the students. Kyle discovers the reason: the nurse has a stillborn conjoined twin fetus attached to her head. Kyle's mother hears about it and decides to make the town more aware of the nurse's condition. During this crusade, South Park Elementary is invited to compete in the state dodgeball finals in Denver.moreless

  • Trivia & Quotes
  • Quotes (5)

    • Short Announcer: Oh, and another American is down! It's number, uh… oh, I don't know; all Americans look alike! (Both announcers laugh hard.)

    • Kyle: (about the nurse) And when she moved up and down, the little fetus jiggled! All boys: Eww! Cartman: Did it talk?? The little fetus, did it talk?? Kyle: No, dude! It looked dead! All boys: Eww! Stan: Was it wearing clothes?? Kyle: (weirded out) Dude, where's she gonna get fetus clothes? Stan: Oh, yeah… Eww! All boys: Eww!

    • Tall Announcer: Hey, you wanna hear my impression of an American? (throws his voice to sound like he's American) "Hey! I really, really want that! That looks good!" (The announcers burst out laughing.) Short Announcer: Let me try, let me try! (throws his voice as well) "I'll use my credit card." (The announcers laugh again.) Short Announcer: (throwing voice again) "Do you have any non-dairy creamer?" (The announcers continue to laugh.) Tall Announcer: "Y'all come-a back now, ya hear?" (The announcers laugh so hard they fall back.)

    • Chinese Guy: Hey you stupid American! Throw ball! What the matter?! You got crepes in your ears?!

    • Cartman: I love you guys. [A long pause as Stan and Kyle stare at Cartman] Cartman: Ah, screw you guys.

    Notes (3)

    • We learned in this episode that Pip hates French People

    • Butters was known as Swanson in this episode. He became Butters in "Melvins".

    • At the back of the classroom is a picture from "American History" which is one of Trey Parker's first animated films he made in college.

    Trivia (10)

    • Visitor Sighting: Right when Chef's talking to Pip, after Kyle's dinner, a logo of a Tennis player has an alien head at the Denver school.

    • The kids take their schoolbus straight from Denver to Washington D.C. to China and come back in time for the end of "Conjoined Twin Myslexia Week." Ms. Crabtree is one amazing bus driver.

    • In the very beginning during Gym class, there appear to be no girls while Chef is talking to the class about dodgeball. In the next shot, we see Bebe and another girl.

    • When Pip is the only one left, the announcer says that all Chinese players are still out, but in order for Kyle to be in possession of the ball, he had to catch it therefore one Chinese player would be out.

    • Chef appears to double as a gym teacher, at least for this episode. Of course, he was also a football coach for the school in "Big Gay Al's Big Gay Boat Ride".

    Allusions (5)

    • The Last Starfighter: When Pip throws his final throw against the Chinese team, the way he spins, throws the ball, then slowly stops spinning, is reminiscent of the Death Blossom scene in The Last Starfighter.

    • Star Trek: First Contact: Cartman's phrase "So, Captain Ahab has to get his whale, huh?" is an almost direct quote from Star Trek: First Contact, which in turn is a reference to Herman Melville's novel Moby-Dick.

    • Moby Dick: Cartman's literary reference "Captain Ahab has to get his whale" is from Herman Melville's classic "Moby Dick."

    • The Monkees: The picture of conjoined twins that Kyle's mother shows to the boys from her book "Freaks A-Z" is actually a picture of Mickey Dolenz and Michael Nesmith from the band "The Monkees," who also had a tv show, also named The Monkees.

    • Lord of the Rings: Nurse Gollum's surname is the same as the creature from J.R.R. Tolkien's The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. Gollum is the misbegotten creature who refers to the "one ring" as his precious and often holds conversations with himself as Gollum (evil) and Smeagol (good).
