    • Benny Ray: Nice moves. Margo: Ten years of ballet lessons. (to a Columbian soldier in Spanish) You want 'killed by a woman' on your tombstone?

    • Drummer: (after being forced to HALO jump into Columbia with his eyes blindfolded) All right, all right, all right! You want to kill me?! Huh?! Go on, just go on and do it!
Matt: (removing the blindfold) Well, you've got the wrong idea about us, Mr. Drummer.
Margo: Hey, you think we flew ten hours and HALOed to this garden paradise just to bury you?
      Drummer: Really...
CJ: What are you, man? Some kind of egomaniac?

    • CJ: What are you doing? Chance: (packing his parachute) I pack my own 'chute. Matt: It's why they call him Chance. 'Cause he never takes any. CJ: Hell, half the fun is wondering whether this thing is going to open! Chance: Can I quote you if you bounce?

    Trivia (3)

    • Shepherd's Rule of Mission Ops: Best contact with the enemy is no contact at all.

    • Goof: During the rock climbing sequence, they have great difficulty climbing the rock face, even with a rope. But their rope is secured at the top of the cliff- how did it get there?

    • When Drummer describes the protections he designed for Pajaro's camp, he mentions "punji sticks". These are simple wooden stakes which are often used as booby traps. They can be deployed in many ways, but one of the most effective is to dig a pit and position the sticks so that they are pointing downwards inside of it. That way, when the person tries to get out of the pit, they cannot do so without either severe damage from impaling themselves on the sticks, or are forced to spend a great deal of time and effort to remove the sticks from the pit first. Punji sticks were also often poisoned with fecal matter to insure a dangerous infection was incurred by any wound caused by them. These weapons were often used in Vietnam, among other places.
