  • Episode Description
  • Protests break out at ESU after it's announced Villeroy Towers will be torn down, leaving the residents homeless. However, the residents begin getting a lot of money to support their cause. Someone called Turbo Jet is responsible for this and is seen as a hero by the residents and protesters for what he's doing. The only problem is that Turbo Jet is accomplishing all this by committing crimes and he refuses to let anyone stop him, even Spider-Man.moreless

  • Trivia & Quotes
  • Quotes (5)

    • Harry: (to Peter) My dad's company convinced ESU to bulldoze ... Villeroy Towers.

    • Peter: Um, M.J., protests generally aren't about fun. Mary Jane: That's 'cause you haven't been to one with me!

    • (During Harry's speech) Heckler: You suck, Osborn! Harry: Thank you.

    • Mary Jane: Here you are, saving me again. Spider-Man: A man's got to have hobbies.

    • Peter: Could you play couch potato for a sec? Harry: It's a stretch, but I'll try.

    Notes (5)

    • Muang, the Drip Den guy, can also be seen protesting.

    • This was supposed to be one of the first episodes of the season but wasn't completed in time. MTV ended up reshuffling the schedule and airing it later.

    • In this episode, Peter keeps his costume hidden inside of an attic turret above the apartment he shares with Harry (in his own collegiate riff on Batman) and "suits up" in the shadows. He doesn't wear it beneath his everyday clothes, unlike the comic books, movies, and other animated cartoons. However, this would change by the third episode -- "Law of the Jungle."

    • Max Dillon can be seen protesting in this episode, but he has a different voice. Maybe to save money, Mainframe used him as a random person and gave him a different outfit.

    • Canadian airdate: Septemeber 1, 2003.

    Allusions (1)

    • Spider-Man: Perhaps I need an image makeover. I'm Spider-Man!
Refers to the line from Tim Burton's Batman - "I'm Batman!"
