  • Episode Description
  • Max Dillon – an ESU classmate and a friend – can be even more of a social outcast than Peter. It is pledge week, however, and he is trying to join the Sigma Alpha Kai fraternity. Doug Reisman and the other fraternity leaders don't intend to accept Max, though – only to thoroughly humiliate him. One of their parties sees it happen very publicly – forcing a distraught Max to run out into a storm and get caught in an electrical accident. The result is Electro, who intends to exact revenge against Doug. Meanwhile, Peter has been wondering if he should've gone to the party to have some fun with Mary Jane and Harry. Unfortunately, Spider-Man must now make an appearance and not for fun's sake.moreless

    • Spider-Man: (after realizing who Electro is) Oh, my God. Max, what's happened to you? Electro: I don't know. You don't understand. Spider-Man: Max, you can't do this to innocent people. Electro: Nobody's innocent! No one!!

    • Sally: No! Please, stop! (Sally touched Electro and was shocked) Electro: (sadly) No, I didn't mean to. (angry; to Doug Reisman) You turned me into this!

    • Peter: Why I wanna go to a party like everyone else? (the camera shifts and shows Peter standing on the ceiling) Just 'cause I'm not like everyone else?

    • Spider-Man: (to Electro) Where were you when we had an energy crisis?

    • Peter: Would the world, like, come to an end if Spider-Man took one lousy night off? (Crowd screaming outside) Okay, you made your point.
