  • Trivia & Quotes
  • Quotes (35)

    • (Squidward is back to the present) SpongeBob: Does this mean you want to go jellyfishing? Squidward: NO! Who's the barnacle head that invented that game? SpongeBob & Patrick: You are, Squidward! (laughs) Squidward: I'm goin' back.

    • Squidward: (to Past SpongeBob) Yes, that's my arm.

    • Squidward: Sp-SpongeBob? Is that you? Sponge-Tron: SpongeBob? No! (robot voice) I am Sponge-Tron! Welcome to the future! Squidward: What? Sponge-Tron: Welcome to the future!

    • Hot Sauce Drop: By the powers of naughtiness I demand this particular drop of hot sauce to be really, really hot!

    • Squidward: Well, I wouldn’t have chosen this interior. (notices a lever) What’s this? Well, if Spongebob exists in the future... then I’d better go to... (shifts lever) ...the past! (Time machine beeps, while Sponge-Tron waves good-bye. The time machine teleports Squidward to a primitave Bikini Bottom) Wow, primitive. Has sort of an old world charm. (an eel comes towards Squidward) I guess this was before (yells) manners were invented! At least there’s no sign of Spongebrat. Maybe now I can finally be alone with my clarinet.

    Trivia (36)

    • In "SB-129," SpongeBob claims that the Krusty Krab is closed on Sundays. However, in "Squid's Day Off", the restaurant was open on Sunday; their business hours must have changed by then.

    • If the Krusty Krab was closed on Sunday, why were the doors unlocked? Mr. Krabs was probably in his office, or he forgot to lock the doors during closing time the night before.

    • In "Karate Choppers", when SpongeBob tosses the patties and they land on Squidward, there are 6 of them. In the next shot, we see he has 8 patties.

    • Before Squidward walked into the time machine, he was going into the can opener room, but when he's walking in to the Time Machine, he's isn't torn into pieces.

    • If the hot sauce was very hot, then why didn't it affect Sandy?

    Allusions (3)

    • Episode: Premise The premise of this episode (taking the "straight man" Squidward and placing him in several wildly different and random scenarios) is comparable to that of the Looney Tunes classic "Duck Amuck."

    • Futurama: Reference Squidward is frozen in the freezer & is then thawed out 2000 years later. This is similar to how Fry from Futurama is frozen on New Year's Eve 1999 & is thawed out 1000 years later. Also, this episode aired on 12/31/99, which is another possible reference to Fry being frozen.

    • Episode Title: SB-129
The title of this episode is likely a parody of the ever popular science fiction TV series, Stargate SG-1.
