  • Not that bad. Lightweight but mildly entertaining filler.

  • Trivia & Quotes
  • Quotes (15)

    • Sisko: Isn't there any way for the two of you to... you know... Dax: Make love? Sisko:...without injuring yourselves? Dax: Interspecies romance isn't without its dangers. That's part of the fun.

    • Sisko: I really wish I was going with you. Dax and I had some great times on Risa! (Jadzia laughs, Worf glares with jealousy) Curzon Dax! Worf: Curzon. Of course.

    • Worf: (to Bashir) Do not hug me!

    • Quark: I have a little present for everyone. (reaches into the bag and begins handing out horga'hns to Bashir, Leeta, and Dax) One for you, one for you, one for you... (reaches Worf) And none for you.

    • (commenting about Julian and Leeta's break-up ceremony) Quark: That's it? Julian: That's it. What were you expecting? Quark: I was expecting fireworks. Where's the anger? The vicious name-calling? The irrational accusations? I never would have agreed to be a witness if I'd known you were going to be so civil. It's disgusting.

    • Cirroc Lofton (Jake Sisko), Colm Meaney (Chief O'Brien) and Nana Visitor (Major Kira) do not appear in this episode.

    • During the filming of this episode, Nana Visitor gave birth to her and Alexander Siddig's son, Django.

    • This was reputedly the writers' least favorite episode of the show.

    Trivia (8)

    • In this episode, we learn Curzon's cause of death; Arandis killed him by Jamaharon.

    • At the age of thirteen, Worf was captain of his soccer team. During the championship game he accidentally injured a player that would later die from his injuries.

    • One of the prospective intruders Fullerton mentions is the Borg. It would not be long after the events of this episode that the Borg would attack the Federation during the events of Star Trek: First Contact.

    • Goof: In all the exterior shots of the Risian buildings, not once did the waterfall appear to be moving. Not even the sudden downpour of rain after the weather system went offline was enough to get it to fall.

    • Nitpick: Fullerton says that because of all the creature comforts like replicators, Federation citizens have become an easy target for the Klingons, the Borg, the Dominion etc. Yet without replicators to instantly create meals, those citizens would be spending a good portion of their days growing, buying and preparing food to eat at the expense of other activities like starship building and weapon research to fight these threats.

    • Let He Who Is Without Sin... The episode's title is from the teachings of Jesus in the Bible. A group of people are about to stone an adulteress, and Jesus tells the people, "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone." No one present feels they can make that claim except Jesus, who says he will not harm the woman, but instead forgives her for her sin and tells her to sin no more in the future. This story is told in John 8:2-11.
