  • Quotes (38)

    • Teyla: I have never been separated from my people before. Weir: It must be hard. But you know you'll see them again. Teyla: Do you doubt that you will one day return to Earth? Weir: I can't afford to have doubts. Teyla: You mean you cannot afford to let them show. Weir: You're still a leader, Teyla. You're doing this for your people and for their future. They know that.

    • Bates: A second ago, we were going surfing. Sheppard: Well, that was after we checked for monsters and... bugs, and other space-related things. Bates: I can't imagine it'd be any worse than their original homeworld. McKay: That could just be failure of imagination on your part.

    • Ford: (On Jumper)Strange we're not pulling any Gs. Sheppard: Yeah... I kind of miss it. Although at this rate of acceleration, we'd be dead by now. Ford: Yeah? Sheppard: Oh, yeah. Without inertial dampening, we'd be hit by so many Gs, our eyes would pop. The skin would pull away from our faces, our brains would squish up to the back of our skulls, and our internal organs would be crushed into these chairs. What about that sandwich?

    • Halling: (About Atlantis team) They may reside here, Teyla, but they are not the ancestors. No matter how much you wish them to be.

    • Teyla: (About mistrusting the Athosians) I know each and every one of them. I would stake my life on their innocence. Sheppard: Okay. Perhaps you've noticed, but every time we step through the Stargate, bad guys try to kill us. And I'm getting a little tired of it. How about you?

    Trivia (7)

    • Goof: Ford brings a turkey sandwich MRE for Sheppard. There are no turkey sandwich MREs in production, as turkey products have not been available in MREs since 1985. That would be one old sandwich.

    • The mainland of Lantea is 15 million square miles which is about 4 times the size of the United States.

    • Chronologically, the Athosians have been in the city of Atlantis for three months (thus, it is three months since "Rising (2)").

    • We find out in this episode that the Wraith have a self destruct that they use to avoid capture by the enemy.

    • Goof: When viewing the sequence at a slow speed, you can tell David Hewlett (Dr. McKay) jerks his head back just before he's hit in the face by the Wraith stun blast. Whoever did the special effect for that certainly didn't time it correctly.

    • McKay: I mean, we are stranded with limited resources in another galaxy. Come on, the nearest Bob's Big Boy is three hundred million light years away. Big Boy is a restaurant chain. The chain started in 1936 by Bob Wian in Glendale, California as Bob's Big Boy. Marriott bought the chain in 1967. Big Boy Restaurants International is now headquartered in Warren, Michigan.
