  • Quotes (11)

    • Ashwan: It's fascinating to realize we are eating food grown and prepared on a world millions of years away. Jack: And frozen, millions of years ago.

    • Teal'c: I have found no mention of the Chappa'i, nor any other technology used by the Goa'uld. Jack: That's a little weird. The Goa'uld are damn litterbugs. They usually leave a lot of crap behind.

    • Jack: Well, if he was going to help out, he'd have shown by now. Ronson: Who? Jack: Thor. Little guy? Gray.

    • Jack: (sarcastically) Teal'c, prepare to assist in damage control. Teal'c: I am prepared, O'Neill. Jack: (to Ronson) See how melodramatic that sounds.

    • Ashwin: Why use such a dangerous substance to power your ship? Jack: I've asked the same question.

    Trivia (6)

    • The shot of the Prometheus taking off to rescue Teal'c and Jonas is the same shot used when the ship leaves its underground hangar in the earlier episode "Prometheus." There are several occasions where shots of the Prometheus are reused in different episodes.

    • Trivia: As of this episode, SG-1 has been to 133 planets.

    • In episode 6-2/112, "Redemption (2)", it's established that a stargate weighs 64,000 pounds (32 tons or just over 29,000 kilograms), yet in this episode, it's raised to an upright position by a portable winch and a small human work crew.

    • While onboard the Prometheus, if you watch the blue mark that Jonas makes on the clear plastic thing, it goes from a overly complete circle, to just a complete circle.

    • Teal'c refers to Heru'ur in the present tense several times even though he had been dead for over two years at the time.

    Allusions (1)

    • Colonel Ronson: Let's hope the old man is right, or this is gonna be a short ride. A Star Wars reference - of sorts. The quote was spoken as they are about to lift off and rescue the detained SG-1 members at the newly unearthed Stargate. A very similar situation was in the original Star Wars as the Millennium Falcon was about to escape from the Death Star, and Han Solo proclaimed that he hoped Ben Kenobi (the "old man") indeed had disabled the tractor-beam, or else they were in for a short ride.
