  • Trivia & Quotes
  • Quotes (15)

    • Sam: Dad? Jacob: What? Sam: Its been two hours since Pete left, you haven't said a word. Jacob: I did so. Sam: "He seems nice." Jacob: I believe that's three words.

    • Daniel: I don't understand. They only sent (Anubis) half way back, why not all the way? Oma: It's complicated. Daniel: Yeah, what isn't around here?

    • Bra'tac: What our people will require is a youthful, vital, leadership, and that is something others are better suited to provide. Teal'c: You are only as old as you believe yourself to be. Bra'tac: Talk to me in fifty years! Teal'c: Indeed I will.

    • Jim: I don't have anything against Oma. I think she's great, don't I? Hell, she's the one that helped me ascend. (Jim smiles evilly) You got it, huh? Daniel: You are Anubis. Jim/Anubis: Cheers!

    • Sam: Thank you, sir. Jack: For what? Sam: For being here for me. Jack: Always.

    Notes (10)

    • The stripped-down version omits the following material: Firstly, there wasn't a "Previously on Stargate SG1..." The opening scene between Ba'al and decaying Anubis where he says Ba'al has betrayed him. When Daniel first enters the diner. The entire scene of knighting Bra'tac and Teal'c on Dakara - nothing is mentioned of Jaffa freedom save they have control of the weapon. Some bantering between Pete and Sam when they walk down the corridors of the SGC (understandably non-essential) and the bantering between Sam, Pete and Jacob "Why didn't you tell me?" 'cept there was the "Do you really have one of those things in your head?" Oma explaining where exactly Daniel was and how he got there. Any scene with Bra'tac and Teal'c on a ship. Waking Jack up with Kerry in his bed. Daniel trying to talk to the other Ancients in the diner. The phone call from Pete, the florist scene and driving to the new house. Sam waiting in the car outside Jack's house. Teal'c and Bra'tac talking about age. Teal'c and Bra'tac on the ships when they were lured out.

    • The cafe where Daniel Jackson is with the ascended is the same set as "Der Waffle House" in another MGM production, Dead Like Me. In addition to reusing the Dead Like Me sets, there are subtle references to DLM. First, Daniel sits at the booth commonly used by the characters of DLM. Second, he mentions coming there after a funeral, and DLM was about grim reapers. Third, he orders waffles, as in "Der Waffle Haus." Fourth, at one point in the diner a woman dressed in a metermaid outfit walks right pass the camera, resembling Roxy from DLM.

    • This episode was played in Australia on March 3, 2005. However, the 60-minute version (including commercials) was the version played.

    • Other paper headlines: Astral Diner to be given infinite status. Yoga NOT the path to enlightenment. Ethereal Awareness Seminar to be held in Talnak Quadrant. Edge of Universe Discovered. Wraith On Way To Atlantis.

    • George Dzundza is the fourth actor to play Anubis. The Goa'uld was played by David Palffy in "Revelations", "Redemption Part I", "Full Circle", "Fallen", "Homecoming", "Evolution Part II" and "Lost City Parts I & II", by Dean Aylesworth in "Reckoning Part I", and by Rik Kiviaho in "Reckoning Part I" and this episode.

    Trivia (5)

    • When Oma places Daniel's order she says "Two Checkersboards," meaning he should get two waffles. Yet when he receives his order, he has four waffles on his plate.

    • Trivia: The "Ancient Device" Anubis is trying to gain control of that will destroy our galaxy (the Milky Way), was originally used by the Ancients to create life in the Milky Way.

    • When Sam is talking to Jack at Jack's house, the door seen behind Sam changes from being open just a little to being more open. This changes several times.

    • When Anubis was dialing in to Earth (along with all other planets), the dialing computer reads "IDLE" and does not move the ring on the screen like it usually does when someone activates the gate offworld.

    • Carter says Jacob should have died four years ago. But Selmak saved his life in "The Tok'ra Part Two" from Season Two which was nearly six years ago.

    Allusions (1)

    • Anubis: *whistling*
When Anubis is in the cafe, he is whistling "Amazing Grace". Once we learn who he really is, the tune takes on a much more ironic meaning.
