  • Trivia & Quotes
  • Quotes (15)

    • Mitchell: (to Landry) It's a good thing I left early. I took a wrong turn at the post office and was driving for about an hour before my special forces training kicked in and I realized I was lost. That, and the road ended.

    • Landry: We all need to stop for air now and then. We’ll burn out! That’s the one thing you people don’t know how to do, so I’m making it an order. Mitchell: (unenthusiastically) Yes, sir. I’m sure it’ll be fun, sir.

    • (after holding guns on each other due to a noise in the night) Mitchell: General, listen, uh…maybe I’m not the only one around here who needs to relax. Landry: I’ll try not to shoot you before morning. Mitchell: Thank you, sir. Same here.

    • Landry: You’re missing the opportunity of a lifetime, Mitchell. Mitchell: Are you making it an order? Landry: Birding is something you have to have in your soul, son. You have to come to it on your own. Mitchell: Well, I gotta be honest with you, sir. I don’t know that I have it in me.

    • Landry: We got a bunch of drunken hunters out there all hyped up looking for revenge and glory. Mitchell: So, are we siding with the hunters or the bear?

    Notes (4)

    • Syndication Premiere: October 20, 2007

    • In the commentary for this episode, during the briefing scene it is commented how they enjoyed having Carter in the "Captain's" chair and she could lead the show. In the beginning of the Season 4 of Stargate Atlantis Carter becomes the leader of the Atlantis Expedition.

    • Michael Shanks is credited but does not appear in this episode.

    • International Air Dates: Canada: November 30th, 2006 New Zealand: August 4th, 2007 on TV2

    Trivia (3)

    • During the briefing in the command tent, the SGC soldiers present have no patches on their uniforms, since they were operating on Earth where the SGC is still secret. The patches are still gone when the team moves through the woods and shoots the first creature. Yet as they shoot at the creatures later, everyone except Vala and Landry acquire patches as they shoot at the second creature.

    • In the briefing with Reynolds, Teal'c, and Vala, Carter tells them to return to the planet with SG-3 and SG-25. However in the next scene when Landry is telling Mitchell what the others are doing, he says SG-3 and SG-5, completely missing the "twenty" part.

    • Trivia: SG-3 is a US Marine unit. The Marine MARPAT BDU contains black "pixels", while Navy, Army and Air Force ACUs have no black.

    Allusions (2)

    • Mitchell: If you have a Playstation, I would be happy to kick your ass at SOCOM 3. SOCOM 3 is a recently released video game for the Playstation 2 game system. It faced high expectations as its predecessor, SOCOM 2: NAVY SEALS, was one of the Playstation 2's highest-ranked games.

    • Mitchell: Or a vice-presidential bird hunt. This is a reference to Vice President Dick Cheney accidentally shooting a hunting companion during a quail-hunting trip in early 2006. This is somewhat odd considering George W. Bush is not the President in the Stargate universe, although President Hayes could have gotten Cheney as his VP after "The Lost City."
