  • Quotes (19)

    • Walter: Your 0830 debriefing is SG-2, regarding their recent mission to P8F-809. Folder's on your desk, along with the personnel files you have yet to review. Jack: How many do I have left? Walter: All of them.

    • Jack: It's a great story. More importantly, did Anubus leave anything cool behind? Daniel: Not really, no. Jack: Nuts.

    • Major Davis: General, if I might have a moment with you. We're completely stalled. The Amrans can't agree with each other, let alone us. They're like (does a 'yack yack yack' motion with his fingers) bickering children. Jack: Maybe they need a timeout?

    • Daniel: Hey, you uh wanna get some lunch? Sam: No, I'm fine. Daniel: You just going to sit in here all day and... Sam: I'm not sulking! Daniel: ...working, gonna say working!

    • Sam: General. Jack: Colonel. We've all met. Daniel: Yes, actually we know each other's life stories. Jack: Is that snippiness? Daniel: ...Is that a word?

    Notes (2)

    • The base concept for this episode (The alien plant) was originally thought up as a season 4 episode but was shelved until season 8.

    • The bald gate technician at the end working where Walter usually does, seen when Col. Carter and SG-1 are coming through the Gate, is Pierre Bernard, a graphics designer for the "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" show. He got the cameo on SG-1 after a rant on Late Night where he said the show was better without Daniel Jackson. The Stargate people saw it and offered him the cameo. A behind-the-scenes look at the filming of his part was later shown during the summer on Late Night.

    Trivia (2)

    • When the SG teams are heading through the gate to look for SG-1, we hear the gate shut down before the last soldier has time to go through it.

    • Sgt. Walter Davis/Harriman mispronounces "Rundell" as "Rudnell."

    Allusions (2)

    • Jack: Thank you, Seymour.
The General's response to being told that the plant had not eaten anyone yet is a reference to "Little Shop of Horrors" and carnivorous plant, Audrey II.

    • Walter Davis: Acting as Jack's aide
Sgt./Technician Davis has a serious "I've already anticipated what you want, Sir" vibe going for him, sounding and even looking a lot like another Walter - Walter "Radar" O'Reilly on M*A*S*H.
