  • Quotes (1)

    • Collandra: Hey, you want a real psychic prediction? A tomato...a big red, white stripes...uh, wheels, rubber wheels. Mags. And the wheels are going bye-bye. Huggy: He's getting another vision! It's like a giant movie screen inside his head. Collandra: It's not inside my head, it's right outside the door. (at Hutch) It's your red car, fella. Two kids got it jacked up and they're ripping off the tires. Starsky: That's my red car!

    Notes (1)

    • The basic premise of this story was later re-worked for the third season T.J. Hooker episode "Psychic Terror" (1984). In that story, a woman with psychic abilities helps Hooker (William Shatner) locate the whereabouts of a kidnapped young girl; and the climax sees Hooker desperately running across town from pay-phone to pay-phone to receive instructions from the kidnapper, just as Hutch does in this story. A great many other popular series of the 1970's and 80's also put their own spin on the premise. For example, The Incredible Hulk's third season episode "The Psychic" (1980) involves a psychic foreseeing a murder; and in the third season Airwolf episode "Fortune Teller" (1985), a woman burdened with psychic abilities is the only key to Airwolf's crew finding the abducted Archangel (Alex Cord).

    Trivia (3)

    • Huggy's racket: Huggy plans to cash in on Collandra's psychic gifts by entering him into show-business.

    • The Torino in this episode has obviously just gotten some quick and dirty body work done on it. The passenger fender is missing the wheel opening trim, and the stripe on this section of the car is very poorly shaped. The shade of piant on the fender clearly does not match with the rerst of the car either.
Also, this car has the cloth front seats from the season-one car(s), while the rear seats are the smooth vinyl seats. Accordingly, David Soul asked to have these seats retro-fitted so he would not so easily slide around on the vinyl seats during spirited driving scenes!

    • The start of this episode, with Starsky and Hutch pursuing cross-dresser Fireball, is recycled from the first season episode 'The Omaha Tiger'. Different backing music is used, and Starsky's line about wrestling, relevant to that episode, is removed.
