    • Thomas/Creature: Bad! Bad! Bad! Static: Bad? You totally trash a five-star restaurant and I'm bad?

    • Robert: Virgil? Virgil: Please, don't make me do it, Pops. I don't wanna make the speech. Robert: I would never force you to do that, son. Virgil: Then, about what I said to Sharon. Robert: Forget it. We all lose our cool now and again. In fact, I may owe you an apology. Virgil: For what? Robert: I thought you come to terms with your mom's death all this time. I was wrong about that, huh? Virgil: Pops, I... Robert: You wanna talk about it? Virgil: Maybe later, okay? Robert: I understand. It took me a long time before I could even say her name without feeling pain. Whenever you're ready, son. It would be nice if you did speak at the memorial, Virgil. If for no one else, for your mom. Just think about it.

    • Virgil: He even had purple skin and orange hair! Richie: Ugh, Bang Babies. They just have no fashion sense.

    • Richie: I'm just glad they didn't shut down the lava land ride. Whoa-ho! Look, yes! Some of the lava spud on my shirt. Daisy: It's nacho cheese, Richie. Richie: (sniffs his shirt) Ew. Different eruption.

    • Ms. Petebone: What is that thing? Static: Whatever it is, it's no teacher's pet.

    Notes (7)

    • We learn Virgil isn't over his mother's death.

    • Mr. Foley makes a cameo appearance at the end.

    • As shown during the home videos, when he was younger Virgil did not have his trademark dreads but an afro instead.

    • A previous note compared Thomas' transformation into the monster to Bruce Banner turning into the Hulk. This is further emphised by Thomas saying "No, not Thomas. Thomas weak". The Hulk has the same kind of contempt for Bruce Banner.

    • This is the first of two appearances of The Monster, as both Thomas and Tamara are referred to. Both of them are named after Blook the Monster, a behemoth from the comics that, inexplicably, only spoke using lines from King Lear. Although he fought Static in his only appearance (a flashback), he stopped after Static responded to one of Blook's lines with the following line after which Blook gave Static his now-familiar trenchcoat.

    Allusions (3)

    • Static: Holy Creature Feature! This is a reference to Batman and Robin, where Robin would call out odd phrases preceded by the word "Holy."

    • Thomas' monster has an uncanning resembalance to Marvel's The Hulk, who turns into a monster much like Thomas' when angered.

    • Virgil: Of course you realize, this means war.
This is a common line Bugs Bunny uses against his enemies.
