  • Quotes (11)

    • Brian: Dad's eating our pizza. Lauren: How do you know? Brian: Well, he's making those creepy moans and that can only mean two things. And, uh, I don't hear mom saying, "hurry up," so it's gotta be the pizza.

    • Bill: I'm not sure I like you working all the way across town and not coming home until late. Lauren: I get to bring home leftover pies. Bill: Carry mace and don't wake me when you come in.

    • Judy: I've been to three stores and I still can't find Tina's crappy, overpriced 'Daisy Dumbass' doll.

    • Lauren: Becca's hanging out with her parents, too. What a loser: L-O-O-S-E-R. Brian: Okay, that spells 'looser,' which I guess also applies.

    • Judy: Three hours in the car, did you go to the bathroom? Tina: Yes, already, stop treating me like a baby. Judy: I was talking to your father.

    Allusions (3)

    • When Brian pops back in the house to retrieve his cape and does more singing, Bill sighs, "God help us, every one," a play on Tiny Tim's "God bless us, every one" from A Christmas Carol.

    • The name of Brian's caroling group, The Fezziwigs, takes its name from Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, where one of the ghosts who visits Scrooge is Fezziwig, who had apprenticed him.

    • After Brian tells the family about his carolling group named after a Charles Dickens work, Lauren refers to him as the "Nerdful Dodger". This is a reference to the Artful Dodger, a character from Dickens' Oliver Twist.
