  • show Description
  • Based on a true story, Sue Thomas:F.B.Eye follows the adventures of Sue Thomas at the FBI in Washington, D.C. She's one hard-headed, soft-hearted woman whose talent for reading lips helps crack crimes and bag the bad guys in places listening devices can't penetrate. With her hearing-ear dog, Levi, Sue's a glutton for jeopardy - and there's (almost) nothing she won't do to bring notorious criminals to justice. This remarkable, edge-of-your-seat drama is an inspiring tribute to the ability of the human spirit to overcome adversity and achieve great things. Sue Thomas:F.B. Eye Theme "Who I Am" Sung By Jessica Andrews.moreless

    • Sue: Don't tell me I just offered him a cookie-to-go!

    • Sue Thomas: Too many lips!

    • Lucy: So I was lying in my bed last night and I’m wondering why I have this horrible headache and suddenly, it hits me: the bowling pins. Sue: Excuse me? Lucy: The pounding in my head had the same rhythm as the incessant crashing of balls knocking down pins in the bowling alley below your apartment. Sue: Um, my apartment gives you a headache. Lucy: Exactly. Now, the fact that you and I are friends and I can't stand to be in your apartment, that's a problem. But not an unsolvable one.

    • Eldridge: Since Jack brought you into this mess, he'll be your training agent. I like Jack. Try not to get him killed. Having said that, uh, welcome to the team.

    • Charlie: We heard you made it through Quantico with flying colors. Sue: With you two working for the FBI, I would have thought your information would be more accurate.

    • Jack Hogan: Knock yourself silly.

    • Miles: Yeah so do we?

    • "He wants to talk to Levi" (Howie wants to talk to Sue)

    Notes (37)

    • The song used for the opening credits is "Who I Am" by Jessica Andrews.

    • Trivia item: two actors appear in both the initial episodes of Doc and ST:FBE. Billy Ray Cyrus ("Doc" is on the TV in Sue's room) -- and Jack Jessop (in "Doc", without his mustache as the guy losing his memory because of his medication).

    • Music featured in this episode: "Someone Else's Star" by Bryan White

    • Dave Nichols also appeared on the series Doc which is made by the guys who make the show SUE THOMAS F.B.EYE as well. Jack Jessop who is also in the pilot of Sue Thomas was in the same episode of Twice In A Lifetime with Dave Nichols. This episode is credited as a single episode in the guide, so some actors who appear in part 1 but not part 2 (or vice versa) are credited for both parts in the guide here.

    • Ed Sahley who appeared as Myles's adversary named Randy also appeared in the Season 1 Finale of the show Monk which is also filmed in Toronto and also had Jonathan Wilson who guest starred in this episode of Sue Thomas in a episode of Monk with Willie Nelson.

    • Troy Kotsur is Deanne's Real-Life husband. Chantal Craig who also is in this episode is the real life wife of Series Regular Yannick Bisson.

    • The episode will make history because there will be a lot of signing in the episode between Deanne Bray and husband Troy Kotsur (Who is deaf). This may be the first time two deaf actors have used ASL (American Sign Language) on TV. There will be subtitles to make it easier to understand what is being said.

    • Joan Considine Johnson who works on Doc is a longtime friend of Sue Thomas.

    Trivia (39)

    • If you look carefully, Sue and Lucy are watching "DOC"!

    • Lucy's duties - as a rotor - are that of a receptionist/secretary who assists the rest of the team in tracking down information, pulling up reports from other offices, and lending support. Rotors in FBI vernicular are support personnel.

    • The Bullpen is room 311. When Sue looks on the FBI directory to find the number of the Personnel room, this is the number that is written. And since Personnel moved to the 6th floor and the team moved down in its place...

    • Sue Thomas did have a service dog named Levi.

    • Bobby's nickname of Crash is a reminder of the record he holds for totalling his brand-new Government issued ride in an astounding 45 minutes!

    • Jack's nickname of Sparky comes from the time he ditched his Government issued ride into the Potomac. The story goes that the car was shooting sparks everywhere and he called on the wrong emergency frequencies that "the car was on fire, there were sparks everywhere and he would ditch it in the Potomac".

    • When Randy confronts the team invading potential new office space, he uses the title "Vice President of Management Services." There are no VPs at the FBI, and in "Into Thin Air", he uses a different (and more plausible) title.

    • Dimitrius and his wife Donna have 2 kids: Tanya (the eldest) and David.

    Allusions (15)

    • Bobby: I love it when a plan comes together. This is what Col John "Hannibal" (George Peppard) said on the A-Team when nothing worked out the way he had planned, but they came out on top anyway.

    • Bobby: I love it when a plan comes together! This was the signature quote of another television FBI agent: Robert Culp's character Bill Maxwell in the early-'80s show The Greatest American Hero (his other classic quote was "Here's the scenario...").

    • Title: The Girl Who Signed Wolf. This is an allusion to the story The Boy Who Cried Wolf, which tells of a boy who claimed there was a wolf about to attack him, and all the townspeople came rushing out to help him, only to discover he was lying. When there actually was a wolf about to attack him, when he called out no one came to help him because they did not believe him, based on his previous lies.

    • Jack: We are looking for an art forger Miles, not Hannibal Lecter. Hannibal Lecter is a fictional character created by author Thomas Harris. A psychiatrist and a cannibalistic serial killer, this villian was most memorably brought to life by actor Sir Anthony Hopkins in the films Red Dragon, Silence of the Lambs, and Hannibal.

    • Lucy: I just had an amazing epiphany. Myles: You found out Chicken of the Sea is actually tuna? This is an allusion to Jessica Simpson, singer and star of the reality show Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica. In the premiere episode, Jessica is eating Chicken of the Sea and asks her husband Nick if it is chicken or fish. He must then explain to her that Chicken By the Sea is the brand of tuna.

    • Myles: Release the dogs of war. Myles incorrectly quotes from Shakespeare's Julius Caesar. The actual line is: Cry "Havoc," and let slip the dogs of war.

    • Episode Title: Boy Meets World This episode title shares a title with a popular ABC sitcom, Boy Meets World. The show revolves around young Cory with his family and friends. It documents on how he finds a girl, faces life situations and just grows up.

    • Sue: Did he just say Wile E. Coyote? Wile E. Coyote is a Looney Tunes cartoon character who is eternally chasing the Roadrunner and blowing himself up. He was created by Chuck Jones for Warner Bros. Lucy: (to Myles) Maybe you should start with Acme products? All products used by Wile E. to build ingenious contraptions to catch the Roadrunner have been supplied by Acme Products.
