    • This episode contains several allusions to It's a Wonderful Life -The title 'It Happened One Night Before Christmas' is a parody of 'It Happened One Christmas', a gender-reversal version of 'It's a Wonderful Life'. -$8,000 is the amount of money Charlie Bailey's Uncle Billy misplaced in the movie and both characters had misplaced it as well as a newspaper. -Freddy. T. Totter is a parody of Henry. F. Potter. -The town in the episode is named Bedspread Falls while the town in the movie is named Bedford Falls. -Totter planned to rename Bedspread Falls after himself like Potter did to Bedford Falls in the timeline where George Bailey didn't exist.
