  • Quotes (3)

    • Joyce: It's what's inside that counts!

    • Helen: You don't understand, that letter... it wasn't me! I'm not that kind of girl! Drusilla: Really? Then what kind of girl are you? Helen: (Lunges forward and wraps a sash around Drusilla's neck) This kind of girl. (snaps Drusilla's neck)

    • [Opening wraparound segment with the Crypt Keeper doing push-ups.]
The Crypt Keeper: Seven...hello, kiddies! What's sinew? [laughs] I was just in the middle of my deadly dozen: first I do a few pull-ups, then a few jumping hacks, and then I like to finish with a little die-impact aerobics. [laughs] Eight...I'm getting in shape for tonight's tale. It's about an ambitions young actress who's looking for her big break. Will she make it? Only her scare-dresser knows for sure. [laughs] I call this dismal drama, "Beauty Rest." [Closing wraparound segment with the Crypt Keeper lifting weights.]
The Crypt Keeper: Good old Helen. Talk about an opening night! Now that's what I call a horrid body. Well, I gotta get back to my workout, kiddies. [lifts weight] Ooh, I love that burn! [laughs]

    Notes (7)

    • Cast/Director Connection: Mimi Rogers appears in Lost In Space (1998), also directed by Stephen Hopkins.

    • Cast/Director Connection: Stephen Hopkins and Michael Wiseman also worked together on the films Predator 2 (1990) and Judgment Night (1993).

    • Cast connection: Mimi Rogers, Kathy Ireland, and Buck Henry also appear in The Player (1992).

    • Donald Longtooth, the name of the main character in the episode, "The Reluctant Vampire", is also the name of the writer of this episode, and "None But The Lonely Heart". This appears to be a pseudonym of one of the writers of the series, as he has no other later writing credits and it seems like an obvious homage.

    • Many fans believe that this episode follows the plot of "Top Billing" from Season three.

Although it is hard to see, the text on the Crypt Keeper's shirt reads, "Horrorday Death Spas".
