    Notes (2)

    • Prologue Narrator: Raphael

    • The mysterious figures stand revealed as the alien race, the Utroms. Note that the name of the head of TCRI, Mortu, is an anagram of "Utrom."

    Allusions (2)

    • The Matrix Michelangelo: (sees the underground complex) Whoa, Matrix city! Michelangelo points out the visual similarity between the stasis pods that he and the other turtles find Splinter in and the human battery farms from the The Matrix film trilogy.

    • Seinfeld Worker #1: Yeah, but you touched Newman, and he touched that guy in the lobby. Worker #2: (annoyed) Newman! When this guy said Newman's name, it sounded just like the annoyed tone Jerry Seinfeld says it on his show.
