  • Trivia & Quotes
  • Quotes (2)

    • Eric: What an awesome night! I am in the back of a truck stop with a hippie and a waitress! Who are now making out! Wow... and they are not letting the fact that I'm here slow them down at all! ...Good god, woman, you buttered my toast with that hand!

    • Kelso: I just remembered that I can't be in the basement 'cause I'm uncomfortable below sea level. Fez: That's the best you can come up with? Just say that we're going to take a shower!

    Notes (1)

    • Garvin Eddy (production designer) and Tara Stephenson (set decorator) were nominated for a Emmy Award for their work on this episode for Outstanding Art Direction for a Multi-Camera Series.

    Trivia (2)

    • This episode marks the return of Tommy Chong as Leo. His last appearance in an episode was in season 4, in Eric's False Alarm, and the fact that he was missing was addressed in The Battle of Evermore. In reality, Tommy Chong left the show because he was arrested and in September 2003 was sentenced to 9 months in jail for distributing drug paraphernalia.

    • The music used in this episode was: Coward of the County (1979) by Kenny Rogers; Mamas Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys (1978) by Waylon Jennings.

    Allusions (2)

    • Leo: Truckers love me... they think I'm Bob Seger. Bob Seger (1945 - ) is an American rock icon known for his blue-collar themes in his songs. He was popular in the mid-70s with his band, The Silver Bullet Band.

    • Jackie: We can still hang out even though we broke up... we're like Sonny & Cher. The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour was a big hit, and ran from 1971 to 1974, ending when Sonny & Cher's marriage did. However, after a year in which they both tried their own separate shows which failed, they had a professional reconciliation and came back together in The Sonny & Cher Show in 1976.
