  • Quotes (9)

    • Jackie: Oh Steven, there you are. I almost didn't recognize you without a disgusting stripper attached to your lips. Hyde: Huh, well I recognized you right away, since you walked in here alone with no job and no boyfriend.

    • Jackie: Do you think something is going on between Donna and Randy? Steven what do you think? Hyde: I have a definite opinion on this... I don't care.

    • Randy: I invited her. I won tickets from a radio station. My cousin's a DJ. So I just called up with the phrase that pays, 'My mom has a picture of you and your sister in the bathtub.'

    • Fez: Something is definitely up. The needle on the hanky-panky meter is all the way up to panky.

    • Red: The bastard finally died. Struck by lightning. The sucker could dodge a bullet, but Mother Nature got him right in the ass. Hyde: I only hope someone shouted, 'Fire in the hole!'

    Trivia (2)

    • This episode features the final version of the opening sequence: Debra Jo Rupp's segment was reshot to reflect Kitty's new haircut.

    • Kitty: You know, Leo took some pretty great pictures of Bob and Midge when they renewed their vows. Bob and Midge renewed their vows in a two-part episode in season two, The First Time and Afterglow. The pictures Leo took, including one of Red smiling, were shown during the end credits of part I.

    Allusions (3)

    • (talking about Leo) Red: I'm not taking 'Hippy' down to the Veterans' Hall. They wouldn't put up with it. The bathrooms have Jane Fonda urinal targets. Jane Fonda is a noted actress and during the 1960s and 70s was quite active politically. She spoke out against the Vietnam War, accusing the Army of torture and the government of escalating it unnecessarily. She spoke on college campuses and to departing troops; and made a movie F.T.A. (1972) in which she and others spoke against the War. She visited Hanoi in the summer of 1972 and participated in radio broadcasts on behalf of the Communist Vietnamese government asking the American troops not to drop their bombs.

    • Randy: We went to see Rocky II. Rocky II is the second film in Sylvester Stallone's Rocky series, and was released in the States on June 15th, 1979, which means that this episode is some time after that date.

    • Leo: Yeah, well, I fought for my country and I have the scars to prove it. Red: I got this in Guadalcanal, 1942. (holding up his arm to show a scar) I took some shrapnel, spent a month in the hospital. That's how I met Bob Hope! Guadalcanal was a battle fought by the Allies against the Japanese in World War II which lasted from August 1942 - February 1943. It was previously mentioned that Red fought in this battle in Season 1, Drive In. Bob Hope was a comedian who spent quite a bit of time entertaining the troops overseas in USO shows.
