    • Eric (about Kitty being depressed): I could pretend to be sick. Red: Oh, no... Wait a minute. That might work. She mothered the hell out you when you broke your leg. Eric: Right. I could say I have a fever. Red: Better yet, we'll go out to the garage and I'll hit you in the elbow with a 2x4. Eric: Yeah, I think I'll stick with the fever. Red: If you wanna go through life doing everything half-assed, that's your decision, son.

    • Kelso: I'm not shallow, I just judge chicks by their looks.

    Trivia (1)

    • The music used in this episode was: Shaky Town (1977) by Jackson Browne; Let's Get It On (1973) by Marvin Gaye; Convoy (1975) by C.W. McCall; Breakdown (1976) by Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers.

    Allusions (4)

    • Hyde: Okay. Oh, oh! We'll be the Mod Squad!
      Kelso: That's perfect, I'm Linc.
      Hyde: I'm Linc!
Kelso: Why do you get to be Linc?
Hyde: [Points to his hair] The magic afro, baby!

The Mod Squad was an action/drama TV show that ran from 1968 to 1973. It was about three young outsiders fighting crime as undercover agents for the police.

    • Donna: At least I have a nice boyfriend, and not some juvenile delinquent! Midge: Like that Fonzie! Fonzie was the tough-guy, juvenile delinquent character on Happy Days, a half-hour sitcom that ran from 1974 to 1984.

    • Hyde: Okay, Fez, but if you wind up in some car, feeling up June Cleaver, don't come crying to me. The guys have just seen three women outside the club and assume that these are the women they were talking to on the CB; the women are a lot older than they expected. June Cleaver was the mother of Beaver Cleaver on tv's Leave It To Beaver; while she wasn't particularly old, she was someone's mother.

    • Eric: It's too bad about Elvis dying... it was too soon... so sad. Eric mentions the death of Elvis Presley, which occured on August 16, 1977; this also places this episode as happening sometime after that date.
