  • Episode Description
  • Jackie has wonderful news: there's a roller disco competition in Kenosha and she wants Hyde to be her partner. When she finds that he's more than unwilling, she's left with a choice between Kelso and Fez, and after seeing their moves, she chooses Fez. This leaves Kelso less than happy, and more than a little jealous. Red, meanwhile, is being sued by an ex-Price Mart employee for wrongful termination, and has to prove to the Labor Board that he's not "unnecessarily angry."moreless

  • Quotes (6)

    • Donna: Oh, my God. I think Jackie and Fez are next. Look! There they are! Kelso: Hey! The next contestants are cheaters! The brown guy is a robot!

    • Kelso: I don't get Jackie, man. I mean, picking Fez over me? Me? I have the three things that women want. I'm hot, and I'm smart! Donna: That's two things, you moron. Kelso: No, it's three. I count hot twice. I mean, come on!

    • Kelso: That's it. They're doing too well! (he pulls out a marble) Donna: What the hell is that? Kelso: It's my secret weapon! Donna: A marble? Kelso: Yep! I'm gonna chuck it out there so they trip! Donna: You moron, it's one marble!

    • Jackie: Hey, Fez, I just made up a poem. Do you want to hear it? Fez: Okay. Jackie: There once was a guy named Fez... who had a really cute butt! Fez: Well, I have to say... I don't hate it.

    • (Red has just told Eric to shut up) Kitty: Now, see, that's the kind of thing that's going to get you in trouble. Now, when I get really angry, I just... I laugh it off, like this... (she does a "Kitty laugh") See? Red: Oh, Kitty, that'll never work! That's dumb! (Kitty stares at him for a second, then does a "Kitty laugh")

    Trivia (1)

    • The music used in this episode was: A Fifth Of Beethoven (1976) by Walter Murphy; Car Wash (1976) by Rose Royce.

    Allusions (3)

    • Icons from 1960's television are substituted in Fez's mind while he contemplates what to do with Jackie. Batman, who is dressed in the same costume as Adam West wore in the 1960's television show, replaces the "Angel" personification, while the "Devil" is replaced by the Riddler, who was played in the same television series by Frank Gorshin.

    • Fez: Jackie, I'm just a roller-disco machine, and I don't work for nobody but you. Fez is quoting a line from the song Love Machine (1976) by The Miracles; the line in the song is, "I'm just a love machine, and I don't work for nobody but you..."

    • Red: Look at this guy's complaint: "Red Forman was habitually ill-tempered." Am I ill-tempered? Eric: No, Sir, you're like Mary Poppins. Mary Poppins was made famous in the 1964 Disney movie of the same name, starring Julie Andrews in the title role; Mary was always happy and singing, and brightened everyone's day.
