  • Episode Description
  • After a confrontation with Time Slime which results in Scooby reliving memories of ghosts from the past, Scoob decides that he's done with the ghost-chasing business. The gang decides to replace him, so they hold auditions and Flim-Flam decides on casting the lovable, lazy puppy Bernie Gumshire. But hapless Bernie is no help when Time Slime captures the gang. It's up to Vincent Van Ghoul to pay Scooby a visit and show him what the future will be like if Time Slime defeats his friends in this send-up of It's a Wonderful Life.moreless

  • Trivia (2)

    • When Time Slime has the gang tied up under the Killer Clock, he says that the machine will kill them, but when Scooby is shown the future, the whole gang (except for Bernie) is shown to be alive and well.

    • In the future segments that Scooby and Vincent Van Ghoul witness, Daphne, Flim Flam, and Shaggy definitely appear older. But other than a leather jacket, shades, and a very bad attitude, Scrappy didn't seem to grow up at all. Even Weerd and Bogel look older despite the fact they're already ghosts!

    Allusions (1)

    • Title and Plot: "It's a Wonderful Scoob" is taken from the title of the classic Christmas movie "It's a Wonderful Life." Meanwhile, the episode's plot seems to be based off of a combination of "It's a Wonderful Life" and the Charles Dickens book "A Christmas Carol."
