  • Quotes (3)

    • Gomez: Black it is my darling. Morticia: Let me do that. You're all thumbs. Gomez: (Gomez looks wonderingly at his outstretched hands) Wouldn't that be interesting?

    • Harold: My dad said it was all a horrible mistake and I'm to be nice and friendly. Morticia: Well that's wonderful. Pugsley: I'll even let you play with my octopus. Harold: Not that friendly! Wednesday: Oh don't be a sissy!

    • Gomez: There's an interesting story behind that trophy - Cousin Farouk was a skin diver. And one day, he dove off a rowboat in an attempt to spear a rare type of eel. And at the same time, a fish swam up from the depths, also after the eel. They were on a collision course. Morticia: The rest, is taxidermy.

    Notes (3)

    • Blossom Rock does not appear in this episode.

    • The swordfish head on the wall has always had a leg with a shoe and sock on the foot. In this episode it has mysteriously changed to a diving flipper, and Mr Addams even has a story about the person being a diver.

    • Frank Nelson played Lucy and Ricky's neighbor, Ralph Ramsey, on I Love Lucy during it's last season when they moved to the country.

    Trivia (2)

    • When Thing takes the mail from the mailman, there are two letters. When it later hands the mail to Wednesday there is only one letter. Perhaps it was screening the junk mail. Did they have junk mail in 1965?

    • Thing's Things
When Morticia is attempting to tie a bow on Puggsley's birthday present, it lends its finger. Hands Mr. Pomeroy his hat as he is leaving with his son. Comes out of the mailbox and grabs the mail from the mailman. Hands the mail to Wednesday. When Professor Simms takes off his glasses to clean them, it hands him a tissue.
