Two good episodes--one is my favorite.
'The Evil Beneath' is a good episode of this show; fairly average, but that's not a bad thing. It's entertaining, and a pretty typical episode. 'Carl Wheezer, Boy Genius' is my favorite 'Jimmy Neutron' episode, period. It's probably because it combines cute and funny in such a great way. Carl's Swedish penpal, Elke Ekberg, is among the most completely adorable animated TV characters I've ever seen. Sheen's frequent remarks about her accent and such are amusing. And this show even teaches us that Attila the Hun likes brownies with nuts. Carl is very funny in this one as well, though also very infuriating to Jimmy. But in the end, of course, the conflicts work themselves out. It's too bad poor Carl only sees his llama-loving girlfriend in this one episode.moreless
You know, I hadn't seen this one until today...
It was, in the words of Randy Jackson, aiight dawg. It really was just ok. Most of the Evil Beneath wasn't very good. This wasn't a JN to remember forever. They find the lab of Dr. Moist, by accidnet and are turned into algey men? The writers can, and have, done better. Carl Wheezer: Boy Genius, was good as well, but nothing great stood out about it. Nothing really above average. In short, these weren't entertaining episodes. Some episodes, like Who Framed Jimmy? I wouldn't mind seeing a few times. This one though, one is good, two is ok and three is just pushing it. Step it up, guys,t hat's all I got to say.moreless
Not bad, but not great.
This episode was just pretty good. I really enjoyed The Evil Beneath, partly because of the Bahama Quadrangle gag. It was a good episode because the plot centered around all three of the main characters. Throw in one crazy (no, I shall say MAD) scientist that we've never seen before and algae men, and you have a great episode.
The problem was the other episode. Start off with the title. It is pretty misleading, because you think that Jimmy makes Carl a genius, but he just pretends to be one. Also, it revolved around just one character, Carl. I think, for it to be a good episode, all three main characters should have an important role.
In the end, only The Evil Beneath was great. But, because Carl Wheezer, Boy Genius was mediocre, the episodes combined only deserve an 7.7.moreless
Two great Episodes
The Evil Beneath- Investigate the strange disappearances of the Bahama Quadrangle, when they get sucked into an under water lab home of Dr. Sydney Moist.
Sheen and Carl will do anything to get out of doing homework even if its something they think is boring, Jimmy of course tries to prove that the Bahama Quadrangle is not haunted.
Carl Wheezer, Boy Genius - Carl’s foreign pen pal comes for a visit, and since he told her he’s a genius he begs Jimmy to let him use his lab to impress his beautiful “girlfriend” in the end they both turn out to be fakes and Carl gets his first kiss.
A fairly good episode I like the look on Sheen and Jimmy’s face when they see elke, not expecting her to be pretty, but to be kind of geeky, so the whole episode Jimmy trys to tell elkie the truth until he finds out she a fraud, and him and Sheen fight over whose the bigger nerd. What us guys wont do for a girl.
Two under average eps that aren't really that good in my opinion. I found them fairly boring, but okay at some points.
For "Carl Wheezer, Boy Genius." I thought it was okay. It wasn't much of an episode but still okay! I liked it a bit, and the running gag is cool, how Carl blames Jimmy his 'dumb assistant' lol. and Sheen had to be a science experiment gone horribly wrong! I laughed a lot at that, imagining Sheen as an experiment. And Carl's girlfriend was kinda cute too, like Eurotrish in Foster's.
Now 'The Evil beneah' didn't attract my attention much. The plot is lame and kinda weird too. So Jimmy and his pals go to the Bermuda Triangle, get sucked into a kelp processing plant and get turned into algea creatures by a crazy professor. And that's it? Boring. Only a few scenes made my chuckle a bit, like when they have to chew the gum to make a bubble shield. Also, the ending is sad, how they get sucked into a vortex and possibly die like the other people on the news on Jimmy's television.moreless
