    • Big Pete Voice Over: (Closing Lines) After nearly three decades, the curse was finally over. But as we were about to learn, the legend of the ringing phone would never end. Hub knew that Mom would never pick up the phone, but it didn't really matter. To him, the rings were like an eternal flame that he kept lit, by simply staying on the line. And to this day, when we hear the rings, it reminds us that true love, if it's really true... doesn't need an answer.

    • Little Pete: Kill us, Artie! Artie: (focusing on Pete with his magnifying glass) Soon, you will be as cheese. Melty, melty melty...

    • Big Pete: Hello? Hello? Hello, sir? Ellen: Sometimes they're just looking for answers. Big Pete: What do you tell them? It's not like you know when it'll stop. Ellen: We know when it started-- May 15, 1967, look.(she shows Pete a binder of records) Big Pete: But who was the call for? I mean, was somebody expecting it? Ellen: They think so, but they don't know who it was. Big Pete: What if we could find that person?

    • Little Pete: Follow... shiny... bike... Big Pete voice-over: As I raced to the rescue, Pete and his friends followed me, the way a fish follows a lure.

    • Big Pete voice-over: It was the hottest, doggiest dog day of the summer. The kind of day you don't just stick to vynil-- you stick to everything. It was one of those days where all your summer dreams are burned out of your memory like butt flesh on a super-heated back seat.

    • This is the first episode to have Carl as one of Pete's friends.

    • According to Pete's Mom, she was younger than Older Pete when the phone started ringing. Since Pete was 16 at the time of this episode, that means that his mom was 42 years old at the most.

    • 18 minutes and 47 seconds into the episode, during a scene where older Pete is talking to his mother, for a brief moment you can see the tip of a fuzzy gray microphone at the top of the screen.
