  • Difficult to get past a lot of the unbelievable stuff, but it's still pretty good.

  • Trivia & Quotes
  • Quotes (10)

    • Poison Ivy: Well, well, a weed in the garden. Whack it, boys!

    • Batgirl: So, still plan on telling my dad? Batman: Not every child gets the opportunity to rescue their parent. I'm sure he'd be grateful if you decided to tell him.

    • Barbara: "Hello, Commissioner. It's the Batman. Care to go bowling?"

    • (Batman is examining a leaf through a microscope) Alfred: The Dark Knight has a green thumb? Batman: This leave-behind is my only lead, Alfred. And so far, it's definitely not garden variety.

    • Commissioner Gordon: I, uh, owe you my thanks, Batgirl. Batgirl: It's Batwo -- Forget it. Batgirl, it is. Ok, then. Gotta go. Uh, you take care now, citizen. Commissioner Gordon: Another red? Huh. What are the chances?

    Notes (5)

    • Original International Air Dates: United Kingdom: April 25, 2006 Czech Republic: January 30, 2010 on TV Nova

    • Batman knows that Barbara is Batgirl.

    • Bathound is mentioned and in a similar way that he was mentioned in the Batman Gotham Knights movie: "Mystery of the Batwoman."

    • Barbara finally accepts being called Batgirl (instead of Batwoman).

    • This is the first time in the series that a second part of an episode had the same name as its first part counterpart.

    Allusions (4)

    • Superman and The Lone Ranger As Barbara Gordon thinks about becoming Batgirl, she references two other animated heroes. When she says, "mild-mannered Olympic hero by day," she alludes to Clark Kent, who is often characterized as mild-mannered when he is not Superman. When she says, "who is that masked woman?" she references The Lone Ranger, associated with the well-known question, "who was that masked man?"

    • n/a: Fantasia
The scene where Batgirl is advanced on by several identical bonsai trees (backed by orchestral music) is reminiscent of the scene in the 1940 Disney film Fantasia, where Mickey Mouse is advanced on by miniature broomsticks.

    • n/a: Ivy spinning slowly within a glowing pink sphere.
This is a reference to the transformation of the Guardians of the Veil from W.I.T.C.H.

    • Alfred: A Batgirl, sir? Perhaps I should equip the Batcave with a doggie door -- should Bathound decide to join the gang. A quick and witty reference to the then-upcoming Ace the Bathound.
