    • Denny McLain was the 31-game winner on the 1968 World Champion Tigers.

    • During Richard Pryor's stand-up monologue, he makes a somewhat ironic closing statement. In commenting on the text on a can of aeresol deodorant, Pryor says, "I don't want nothing on my body that's gonna explode." (In 1980 he had just that experience freebasing cocaine and nearly burned himself to death!)
