    • (The Flintstones and Rubbles are trying to decide which pair will go to Hollyrock)
Wilma: (yawns) Come on, you two. We're not getting anywhere tossing that coin.
Fred: Yeah, you're right, Wilma, and I got a solution.
      Wilma: Yes, Fred?
Betty: Go on. What is it?
Fred: Barney and I will go.
Wilma and Betty: Oh, no you won't!
Wilma: We wouldn't trust you out there for one minute.
Betty: Yeah, surrounded by all those starlets.
Fred: (laughs) Can you imagine that, Barney? They wouldn't trust us surrounded by all those starlets.
      (Fred and Barney laughs)
      Barney: Neither would I.

    • Fred: Wilma!
Wilma: Fred! What are you doing here?
Fred: What am I doing here? What are you doing up there? I've been looking all over Hollyrock for ya and what happens? I find you up on a dark stage instead of outside soaking up the sunshine!
Producer: That voice. That voice! He's the perfect Frogmouth!

    • Producer: I must live right no matter what my psychiatrist says.

    • Fred: I'm telling you, Barney, there's nothing to this acting racket. Comes natural to me. 'Course this "Frogmouth" bit is alright for a starter, but it's not the real deal. I'm gonna move in the big stuff like, uh, "Dr. Jekyll-Hydes", "The Halfback of Notre Dame", "Around The World In The Days." There's a lot of good things a man of my talent could tackle.
Barney: (with a disguised voice) Oh, Mr. Flintstone, can I have your autograph, please?
Fred: (while not paying attention) Certainly, sir. (signs paper) There you are, boy.
Barney: (in his normal voice) Thanks, Fred. You just signed the check for dinner!

    • (Wilma is attempting to help Fred get his voice back)
Wilma: Oh, Fred. How do you like my new fur coat? It's genuine Siberian mastodon and only cost $5,000. I knew you wouldn't mind, so I charged it.
(Fred struggles to speak and finally opens his mouth)
Fred: WILMA!!! ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND?! YOU THINK I'M MADE OF MONEY OR SOMETHING?! SEND IT BACK BEFORE I SUE THE STORE FOR SELLING IT TO YA!

    Notes (1)

    • This episode was recorded on 5-20-60.

    Trivia (2)

    • The Frogmouth Producer is voiced by Jerry Mann a la Phil Silvers playing his famed Sgt.Bilko character, same as early Dino in the Snorkasaurus hunter. The well known gag of the Frogmouth producer taking an egotistical Fred down a peg or two [the reminder of crowds of people watching him!] ┬áis from the same year's Elmer, Bugs and Daffy cartoon "From Person to Bunny", [with Daffy instead of Fred] the last time that Elmer was voiced by radio character actor Arthur Q.Bryan, who had died earlier, in 1959.

    • When Betty and Wilma are taking off on their airplane, Betty tells Barney "Don't forget to feed the cat". With the exception of the cat seen in "High School Fred", the Rubbles only pet was Hoppy from season 5.
