  • Episode Description
  • To commemorate his tenth wedding anniversary (which he only remembers because it falls on "Trash Day"), Fred wants to buy Wilma a Stoneway piano. He finds a hot deal--ultimately too hot--from a shady, cash-only businessman named 88 Fingers Louie.

    Notes (2)

    • This episode was recorded on 7-27-60.

    • Features the famous "Happy Anniversary Quartet" song, set to the tune of the "William Tell Overture".

    Trivia (2)

    • Barney plays "In the Merry, Merry Month of May" on the piano and the 1962 Flintstones theme ("Meet the Flintstones") on the xylophone. Barney's piano teacher was Professor Pesecare.

    • When Fred and Barney bring the piano home, they hoist it via pulley into an 'upstairs' window- which gives Fred the opportunity to drop it on Barney. In the next scene, after Fred 'tackles' the piano through the front door, it rolls right through the bedroom and whole house, which is one story again- just like throughout the rest of the series.

    Allusions (1)

    • This episode appears to be a variation of Laurel and Hardy's classic 1932 film The Music Box.
