    • Al: Sophia seems to get a real kick out of calling me names, so I just let her do it. Dorothy: She's really a very sweet woman. She just doesn't like to show it. Al: Is that a family trait?

    • Rose: What was that sound? Sophia: That was me. Thank you for calling it to everyone's attention!

    • Martha: Hi Rose. (Rose gasps) Martha: It's me Martha, Your new neighbor. You invited me to dinner a couple nights ago then yesterday, you followed me around the supermarket. (Rose gasps) (Dorothy and Blanche enter) Martha: Why is everyone staring at me? Blanche: Because your handbag doesn't match your shoes. (Martha glances at her handbag) Dorothy: We're a very fashion conscious neighborhood.

    • Rose: I followed her through the store and wrote down everything she bought. Dorothy: Rose, they steal jewels, not Gino's Pizza Rolls.

    • Al: We'll use the bathroom as a lookout and the kitchen as a base. Sophia: Fine. We'll just cook in the fireplace and pee in the broom closet.
