  • Episode Description
  • For the hotel's belated grand re-opening celebration, Rose invites Gerald Davenport, Florida's most acclaimed restaurant critic, to review the restaurant's food -- unaware that he once gave Chuy a bad review. When Davenport promptly drops dead in the dining room, the staff try to hide the body, fearing that Chuy may have accidentally poisoned him.

  • Trivia & Quotes
  • Quotes (2)

    • (after Davenport has died) Blanche: Did he like his food? Rose: Two bites and he was in heaven.

    • Davenport: Good evening. My name is… (sees Chuy) Chuy Castillos. Rose: Oh my gosh. What a coincidence. Our cook is named Chuy Castillos.

    Notes (3)

    • Every other episode of the series had at least two storylines simultaneously happening, involving various characters -- an A-story (the main plot) and a B-story (secondary storyline). This episode, however, only had an A-story, which involved the entire cast.

    • Goof: During the first afternoon airing on Lifetime, the final 25 second tag scene (involving Sophia and the laundry chute) was mistakenly aired after the closing credits.

    • This episode first aired on Lifetime on August 24, 2005.

    Trivia (1)

    • Shouldn't the balloons decorated in the lobby be deflated if this episode took place in more than one day? (They're wearing different clothes, and they also say that Gerald Davenport is coming "tomorrow.")

    Allusions (1)

    • "You've Lost that Lovin' Feeling" was a number 1 hit sigle for The Righteous Brothers in 1965.
