  • Episode Description
  • In the opening monologue, Jack is pestered for an autograph by a little girl claiming to be Margaret Truman from Washington, D.C. Bob Crosby sings "Peter Pan" with an assist from the child. At home, Jack tries to fall asleep but is awakened by a leaky bathroom faucet. Rochester comes and fixes it, then rocks Jack to sleep in his bed/crib. As he snoozes, two thieves come in the bedroom window and encounter booby traps in his dresser drawers and a live tiger in his safe.moreless

  • Notes (3)

    • A revised version of this script was restaged in the episode Bedroom Burglar on 1/9/1955. A film of one of these two stagings was repeated by CBS on 6/1/1958.

    • Neither Don Wilson nor the Sportsmen Quartet appeared on screen this week but both were heard; Wilson did the announcing and the Sportsmen sang the Lucky Strike jingle.

    • The Margaret Truman in this episode is not Pres. Truman's daughter Margaret who would have been 28 at the time of this episode. This "Margaret" is a young lady of about 10 years.

    Trivia (1)

    • Jack's bedroom windows are coin operated, so each burglar has to insert a quarter to escape.
