    Allusions (1)

    • episode: water-powered cars The rumor of water-powered vehicles has been around for decades. If you do web searches, you can come up with quite a few hypothetical designs for engines that run on hydrogen that has been separated out of water, leaving raw oxygen as the sole "waste product" of this engine. Does it work? I don't know anyone who's tried it, but if it does, I imagine the oil companies will go out of business overnight. Here's a link to a recent story about "water powered" engines, thanks to Thes for tracking it down. title: Like Water for Octane The episode's title is obviously a play on the popular novel and film Like Water for Chocolate
