  • Trivia & Quotes
  • Notes (3)

    • This episode was filmed on December 17, 1971.

    • This episode served as the pilot for a series {"The Councilman"} which would have starred Bill Daily. When CBS passed on this idea, Bill was soon asked to join the cast of another new MTM production, "The Bob Newhart Show."

    • Isabel Sanford is best known as Louise Jefferson of The Jeffersons.

    Trivia (2)

    • In this episode, Mary is trying to find a candidate to interview for Face the People, a Sunday news program that discusses political issues of the day. This is a spoof on the actual CBS program Face the Nation which has been running on Sunday mornings since 1954.

    • Goof: Bill Daly's character, Pete Peterson, says in this episode to Rhoda that he just came back from attending a Bar Mitzvah. The problem is, it is a Sunday evening, and Bar Mitzvah services are nearly always done on Saturdays, and in the mornings at that.
