    • Rigsby: Hey, what do you think Van Pelt's up to right now?
      Cho: It's 5 a.m. She's sleeping.
Rigsby: You know what I mean.
Cho: She's at a computer training program. She's probably using computers.
Rigsby: I should have signed up for that.
Cho: You barely know how to turn a computer on.
Rigsby: What do you think they teach you there? Duh.

    • Lisbon: You're putting your trust in the mistress of a serial killer. She's playing you.
      Jane: Playing me? How?
Lisbon: You're blind. You're involved with her. It's clouding your judgment.
Jane: There's no involvement. I feel nothing for her.
Lisbon: Now you're really lying. I'm gonna make this very simple. I will not be a part of this anymore, and neither will you, if you wanna remain with the team.
Jane: An ultimatum? Someone's playing a little too much poker. I confess. I-I may have some feelings, but if I have crossed any lines, it is not because I like her. I will do anything I can to get to Red John, but you have known that since the start.

    • Lisbon: Jane. I know you broke her out of prison, and you know I know.
Jane: And I know you know I know.
Lisbon: This is not funny. If they find out, you could be charged as an accomplice to murder.
Jane: Well, if they find out. Th-they won't, unless, of course, you sing to the coppers.
Lisbon: Which I won't, and that makes me an accomplice to murder as well.
Jane: Well, only if you look at it like a very persnickety lawyer.

    • Kirkland: Her arrest continues to be a priority for Homeland.
Lisbon: I've heard you say that in the past, but you've never said why.
Kirkland: Lorelei Martins is a known associate of Red John. She escaped from prison. She kidnapped your colleague Patrick Jane.
Lisbon: Which are all valid reasons for the CBI to be involved, but Homeland? You deal with terrorists.
Kirkland: We have a wide range of investigative interests.
Lisbon: I have to learn that trick.
      Kirkland: Which?
Lisbon: How you speak without saying anything.

I don't think Kirkland is Red John or an accomplice. The episode Red Barn suggested that Red John is probably in his 50s or early 60s (unless of course this Red John is a copycat of the original "Red Barn" one which could open up a wide range of suspects) and to me sometimes Red John's voice sounds like Patrick Jane's in the limo at the end of season 4. I think Kirkland has reason to believe that Red John's influence may even reach the high echelons of government and that he is a threat to national security. I think he may have some idea of who Red John is and may believe he is connected in some way to Patrick Jane and has been tracking the investigation since Jane joined the CBI. I think he may even be killed by Red John by the end of this season. The members of the poker games Lisbon has been attending however, i think one of them is yet another Red John minion. They do need to make a significant red john reveal this season to maintain interest and to move the plot along.

Is It just me or is anyone else getting the vibe that Kevin Corrigan a.k.a. Robert Kirkland on The Mentalist is Red John?? I don't remember them shaking hands but i do feel a resemblance in the voice.

They shake hands in the end of episode 7 of this season.

They aren't going to catch Red John in the 16th episode. If it's going to happen it will be in the finale. People had to know that before they watched this episode.

I know what you mean, but I think people were just hoping for some kind of progression - a clue, some new (significant) information about RJ to be uncovered, or something. I doubt many people were expecting his identity to be revealed in this ep, let alone for him to be caught.

Honestly, they've built up Red John way too much. There's no real way to stop him. It was one thing if it was just Red John and a couple of assistants (one of which in the government). But they explicitly shown us HOW man assistants now? It's kind of insane. How do you stop an army of psychos? I mean, we're up to over a dozen confirmed assistants and a few assumed assistants... and that's just what we KNOW about. They went a bit overboard with it.

I have to say, for the first time in a while... a show fooled me. I imagined that Emmanuel Vaugier (the cute brunette home leader) would be the episode's bad guy. As she's known for a lot of TV work but didn't have THAT much to do / say in this episode. And it turns out it was the other guy. Also, my 2 favorite actresses named Emmanuel on the same episode? Awesome sauce
