    • Glenn Howard: This business is a monster - you've got to keep feeding money into it to keep it working.
Sam Hardy: Try cutting truth out of its diet and see how long it lives!

    • Professor Zorkin: You would be surprised to learn, Mr. Hardy, how many men in our profession do not feel particularly well - especially in moments of triumph.

    • Peggy Maxwell: [trying to persuade Sam to take her with him to Canada]: I've always wanted to see a Mountie.
Sam Hardy: Go watch a Nelson Eddy movie!

    • Sam Hardy: You know, I'd like to belt you in your federal mouth.
Bill Oliver: Well, if you do, you'll be arrested for defacing government property.

    Trivia (1)

    • It may be that this episode was devised as a warning to the fiery-tempered Tony Franciosa, whose outbursts were causing great difficulty in the production of this series. The introduction of a new reporter-character, played by Darren McGavin, may have been intended to show Franciosa that he was not irreplaceable. However, it was not until the third season that Franciosa was actually fired from the show.
