  • I think this is definitely the best episode of season 4. Infact the best episode that they've made in a really long time.

  • Quotes (13)

    • Seth: Okay, I've always wondered, in your opinion, who is the better food industry server, I guess: Chloe, the magical waitress from Albequerque, or Donny, the angry busboy who shot Luke? Ryan: I'll go with Chloe on that one. Seth: Good. What I thought, what I thought. Desert island: Sadie, the tough-as-nails yet soulful jewelry maker, or Lindsay, my grandfather's illegitimate bookish love child?

    • Seth: Now, ahem, when last we checked... need some help with that?... we were on Trey. Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe we went from Trey to a lengthy Volchok period. Ryan: Yeah. Hey, thanks for this. Seth: Yeah. Now unless you hit that Chili guy. Or Johnny. I know a lot of people were rooting for that.

    • Seth: Ryan it may surprise you but I used to be a worrier. Ryan: (sarcastically) Really? Seth: Yes, and as a worrier I used to make lists. You know, about how many planets were mentioned in all the Star Wars didn't matter what the list it just kept my mind off things. Ryan: Seth, would you like to make a list? Seth: Oh I mean I dunno if you want too. OK so how about we make a list of all the people you've punched...since moving to Newport. OK so first there was Luke on your first night here. Ryan: Yeah at Holly's beach house. Seth: Then there was Luke again at the Diner. Ryan: Then again at the model home. Seth: What about Holly's Dad at Cotillion? Ryan: That was more of a tackle than a punch. Seth: Which brings us back to Luke! Ryan: That's right at the nightclub in Tijuana!

    • (As Summer and Taylor discuss a flare gun) Summer: It is stupid, and dangerous, and (crash) ... oh my God. Go 187 on that zombie's ass.

    • Gary: Best earthquake ever.

    • Goof: In the hospital scene with Ryan and Seth, right after Ryan says that he was kidding about the sudden urge to read comic books, you can hear Seth talking, but his lips are not moving.

    • When Seth offers the Range Rover to the homeless guy in exchange for the caddy, he mentions that the axle might be broken. In Series 1 - The Escape, when the four make their trip to Mexico, the axle also breaks and they have to spend the night in a shabby motel.

    • In this episode, we find out that Julie used to sing "Night Moves" to Kaitlin when she was a child. In the Season 1 episode "The Heartbreak," the same song was playing in the background when Julie and Luke began their affair. The song also plays in Luke's car after he sees Caleb propose to Julie in ”The Proposal”.

    • "91" was shown on the birthday cake (with a 9 candle and a 1 candle) in the Ice Cream shop when Julie and Kaitlin were singing "Night Moves." This is in reference to the episode number: "The Night Moves" is the 91st episode of The O.C.

    • When the Cohens return to their house after the earthquake, the exterior of the house was from season one, because Sandy's BMW is in the driveway which he hasn't driven since season one.
