  • Episode Description
  • The firm defends Kyle Healy, a wheelchair-bound man whose wife is charged with murdering his brother, the heir to a multimillion-dollar estate. Jimmy and Ellenor's defense is damaged by compelling circumstantial evidence; testimony about the defendant's stability — and the prosecution's playing of a shattering trump card. In other storylines, Jamie champions the cause of a lawyer who claims firms won't hire her because she's a rape victim; and Bobby, whose marriage is in trouble, links up with an old flame.moreless

    • This episode almost serves as a preview of the next season since four out of the six stars that leave after this season are not in this episode and the other two, Dylan McDermott (Bobby Donnell) and Marla Sokoloff (Lucy Hatcher), have very small parts.

    • Bridget Fonda was originally cast for the three-episode role of Sarah Barker. ABC even announced that Bridget Fonda would play the role a month before the first broadcast. Meanwhile, Teri Polo signed on to replace Bridget Fonda after Fonda was injured in a car accident and had to bow out of the role.

    • Although credited, Lisa Gay Hamilton (Rebecca Washington), Chyler Leigh (Claire Wyatt), Kelli Williams (Lindsey Dole), and Lara Flynn Boyle (Helen Gamble) do not appear in this episode.
